The Israel Tennis project combines several threads that have run through Rich Benvin’s career: competitive tennis, coaching, community, youth development and building useful digital platforms.
Tennis first
Benvin is a former ATP player and WTA coach who reached an ATP doubles ranking of No. 650. His coaching background includes Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, Kellen Damico and Julia O’Loughlin, along with years of work with juniors and adult players in the United States and Europe.
South Florida community connections
In South Florida, his tennis work has included Addison Reserve Country Club and the Delray Beach Tennis Center, with broader connections across the Delray Beach and Boca Raton tennis communities. Those settings reinforce a central idea behind this site: tennis can be competitive and social at the same time, bringing together families, players and supporters around a shared activity.
Jewish camp tennis in Milford, Pennsylvania
Benvin has also been featured as a tennis instructor with NJY Camps in Milford, Pennsylvania, including the Cedar Lake camp community. Camp tennis is a different environment from tournament tennis. The goal is not only technique; it is confidence, friendship, team culture and the memory of belonging to something larger than a lesson.
A Mass Density, Inc. project
IsraelTennis.org is developed as a Mass Density, Inc. project, bringing digital publishing, web development, interactive content and community-building ideas into one tennis platform. The goal is to create a resource that serves players and fans while also supporting youth opportunity, Jewish sports history and connection through tennis.
Where the project can go
The long-term vision includes a Jewish Tennis Hall of Fame, live player tracking, interviews, community stories, donation-funded initiatives, games and quizzes, coach resources, event listings and programs that use tennis to foster unity.
The site is intentionally broader than a results database. It is meant to be a living tennis community—one that remembers the past, supports players now and gives visitors practical ways to participate.
Support youth access, Jewish tennis history, community programs and player-development content.
